The secret to success

I've got the executive membership at Costco that gives me money back annually. For every dollar I spend, I get a penny back. What if I told you that you could get 10 dollars for every dollar you spend? Spend 10 minutes of your day in the Bible and you'll get years of abundant life as a reward. You'll get more out of the Bible than you put into it. The word of God is alive. Plant it in your brain and watch the dividends and rewards blossom into a rich life.

Read Psalm 119:9-11:
119:9 How can a young person maintain a pure life?
By guarding it according to your instructions!
119:10 With all my heart I seek you.
Do not allow me to stray from your commands!
119:11 In my heart I store up your words,
so I might not sin against you.
 Read Psalm 19:7-11:
19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect
and preserves one’s life.
The rules set down by the Lord are reliable
and impart wisdom to the inexperienced.
19:8 The Lord’s precepts are fair
and make one joyful.
The Lord’s commands are pure
and give insight for life.
19:9 The commands to fear the Lord are right
and endure forever.
The judgments given by the Lord are trustworthy
and absolutely just.
19:10 They are of greater value than gold,
than even a great amount of pure gold;
they bring greater delight than honey,
than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.
19:11 Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there;
those who obey them receive a rich reward.
Read 2 Timothy 2:15:
Make every effort to present yourself before God as a proven worker who does not need to be ashamed, teaching the message of truth accurately.
 And then 2 Timothy 3:16-17:
3:16 Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 3:17 that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.
 Read Hebrews 4:12:
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.
 Read 2 Peter 1:3-4:
1:3 I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence. 1:4 Through these things he has bestowed on us his precious and most magnificent promises, so that by means of what was promised you may become partakers of the divine nature, after escaping the worldly corruption that is produced by evil desire.
God is telling me I will have a more successful life if I know his word. He's promising that knowledge of him is a richness that doesn't compare to having a fat bank account or a hi-tech navigation DVD video system in my mini-van. Knowing his promises will change my nature and my attitude. God is telling me to read my Bible and to pray every day, for the Lord is good! He's so good to me!
